This Privacy Policy applies to the Kuku - Drama & Stories mobile application (the Application), provided as a free service by Kuku - Drama & Stories Developer (the Service Provider). The Application is intended for use as is.

The Application is a local movie and TV diary, quiz, discovery, and optional AI chat app. Diary entries, ratings, notes, quiz progress, achievements, recent searches, onboarding status, AI Chat consent, and visible chat history are stored locally on your device. The Application does not require an account, subscription, in-app purchase, Firebase, or analytics SDK.

The Application uses The Movie Database (TMDB) API to fetch movie and TV metadata, posters, backdrops, search results, and details. TMDB requests are anonymous app requests and are not used by the Application to create user accounts.

AI Chat is optional and blocked until you explicitly agree inside the Application. No AI chat session is created and no AI Chat network request is made before that agreement.

When you use AI Chat after agreeing, the Application sends:

• message text: the movie or TV question or recommendation request you type.
• chat_id: the AI chat session identifier created by the AI service and used to continue the same conversation.
• fixed system_prompt: the fixed instruction that tells the AI service to answer only movie and TV questions for Kuku.

This data is sent to OpenRouter Chat proxy, a third-party AI chat service hosted on Railway at freeopenrouterchat-production.up.railway.app. The purpose is only to generate movie/TV chat responses and recommendations.

OpenRouter Chat proxy acts as a third-party processor or service provider for the AI Chat feature. The service is expected to provide the same or equivalent confidentiality and security protections for the AI Chat data it processes. The AI chat backend may retain conversation history server-side using chat_id so your conversation can continue across app launches.

You can revoke AI Chat data sharing in Application Settings. When you revoke it, the Application resets the local chat session, clears local chat messages, removes the local chat_id, and blocks future AI Chat requests until you agree again.

The Application shares data with third-party services only as described in this Privacy Policy: TMDB for movie and TV metadata, and OpenRouter Chat proxy for optional AI Chat after explicit agreement. The Application does not sell your personal data.

You can stop all local collection by uninstalling the Application. You can separately stop AI Chat data sharing by turning off AI chat data sharing in Settings.

Local diary entries, ratings, notes, quiz progress, achievements, recent searches, onboarding status, and AI Chat consent remain on your device until you delete them, reset them, or uninstall the Application. AI Chat conversation continuity may be retained server-side by OpenRouter Chat proxy using chat_id as described above.

The Application does not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Application, contact the Service Provider at kukudramastories@gmail.com.

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding information processed by the Application and uses reasonable safeguards appropriate to the Application features.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates are posted on this page.

By using the Application, you consent to this Privacy Policy. AI Chat requires a separate explicit in-app agreement before any AI Chat network request is made.
